While uncommon, you may find yourself with a blinking middle LED light indicator on your SkyTrak Launch Monitor. This can be especially problematic, because it will prevent a successful hard reset of the device.
1. Blinking yellow LED indicator
If you find that your SkyTrak launch monitor's middle LED persistently flashes yellow, you will be unable to reset the device while it is in this state. This often happens after a change of networking hardware, network credentials, or ISP.
-Find a small paperclip to use when it's time to reset.
-Either walk the unit outside of the range of your WiFi network, or unplug your home router.
-Wait for the LED indicators on the unit to display Green-Red-Red.
-perform a hard reset and then return to your simulator setup and reconfigure network mode.
This issue may occur when the security type is set incorrectly while manually adding your network, please review this article if an attempt to set up network mode preceeded this issue.
2. Blinking red LED indicator
A persistently blinking red middle LED indicator on your SkyTrak Launch Monitor indicates that it is stuck in the searching for networks state. This will also prevent a hard reset and reversion or advancement to different connection steps.
This issue will require the SkyTrak Launch Monitor's battery to be drained completely. Unplug the SkyTrak from any devices or power sources and allow it to stay on until all three LED indicators flash red and the device will power itself off. SkyTrak is designed to time out after a short period of inactivity to preserve battery life. Sometimes this issue will prevent that from happening, but please check to be sure that the battery is still draining at regular intervals.
When the battery has been successfully drained, plug the device in. Do NOT turn the device on immediately. Allow it to charge for a short time, unplug the unit, then power it on. Verify that the LED indicators are Red, Red, and Green from top to bottom and perform a hard reset of the device.
Note: While the issue is now fixed, please allow some more time for the SkyTrak Launch Monitor to charge before beginning play, even if it is plugged in.
