Error Message: A file that is required cannot be installed
While installing TGC 2019, you may encounter this error message:
1. Open the Windows menu by either clicking the Windows icon in the bottom left corner of your screen, or pressing the Windows key. Type: %localappdata% and press Enter.
2. Scroll down to find the "TGCSimulatorSetup" folder. Double click the folder.
3. Double-click the 432 folder.
4. Double-click the "setupfiles" folder.
5. Find the "data" file that was displayed at the end of the file path on your initial error message. In this case, it was "Data1.cab". Select and delete the file. If you don't have access to the error message, the corrupted file should be a different size than the rest of the setup files.
6. Click Downloads on the left hand side of the window
7. Run tgcstsetup.exe once more.
ProTee SDK not Connected or Started
This is a security issue. Windows access control or antivirus software may be preventing ProTee SDK from starting.
Before beginning any of these steps, reboot your computer.
1. Open File Explorer, and type in c:\programdata followed by the enter key
2. Right-click the ProTee United folder, click Properties, and then click the Security tab.
3. Click the Edit button.
4. Select the Users group.
5. Click the Full control Allow Check Box.
6. Click the "Apply" button.
7. Open the TGC Simulator Console, and click "licenses". Copy your license key and paste it somewhere safe, then Delete your License key from the field and press Activate and Add. Paste the license key back into the same field, and click "Activate and Add" once more
Reboot your PC, then attempt to start TGC once more.
Unhandled Exception
This error message indicates that a previously discovered device is no longer available to connect to. This can be caused by the unit timing out and shutting off as you press "Connect", A disconnection from the WiFi network or USB cable, or the unit being power-cycled without being re-discovered by the interface.
- In the lower right, select the ^ arrow to open your System Tray.
- Right click on the TGC icon.
- Click Exit Application.
- Reopen the SkyTrak TGC Interface.
Error Message: Direct3D11 compute shaders are not available.
This error indicates that your system is either incompatible, or not running the required version of DirectX (11 or later). To diagnose this further:
1. Press the Windows icon in the bottom left corner of your screen and type "dxdiag", then press "Run".
2. The resulting window will tell you information about your computer and which version of DirectX you are running, system information, and which features DirectX has enabled.
DirectX updates within regular, scheduled windows updates. For this reason, if you have kept up with Windows updates but are still not running DirectX 11 or later, your system may be incompatible with the required versions of DirectX. If you have not updated Windows in a long time, do so and return to TGC 2019.
Error Message: The program can’t start because MSVCR100.dll / MSVCR120.dll / MSVCP120.dll is missing from your computer.
